Organizers were pleased with the turn out at the Tomahawk Senior Prom.
Last Friday, the St. Mary’s Youth Group sponsored the event for those 55 years or older. They say they had around 40 seniors, in addition to some middle and high school participants who came in their prom dresses.
In prom tradition, they also selected a King and Queen, royalty was chosen at random. Seventy two years after he was originally chosen as King of the Tomahawk High School Prom, Duane Alberg was once again selected as King. Barb Stoddard was chosen as the queen.
In addition to sponsoring the prom, the youth group also made home-made corsages for the women in attendance. Organizers would like to thank all of those who helped make the event possible from the free entertainment and those who donated door prizes.
The organizers also say that they, along with the participants, had so much fun they plan on doing the Senior Prom again next spring.
