The Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce says that the Tomahawk Area is ready for the fishing opener tomorrow.
While it might be true some bodies of water particularly to the north of Tomahawk remain ice covered and unfishable heading into this weekend’s opener, area flowages and the Wisconsin River in Tomahawk will provide anglers plenty of opportunity to get out on the water tomorrow. As a result of the limited amount of open water available in the region, the Chamber anticipates large crowds at Tomahawk boat landings as anglers eager to put the boat in track down open water.
Tamra Anderson Director of the Chamber, noted, “Here in Tomahawk we have plenty of open water for you to enjoy this upcoming weekend!”
