On Monday afternoon there was a 2 vehicle accident at Birchwood Avenue and North 4th Street. There were no injuries reported, only property damage. One of the drivers was cited for failure to yield.
Officer’s investigated suspicious activity complaint after a reporting party observed a man leaving a business wearing a mask and leaving in a vehicle with a covered license plate. After making contact with the man, officers learned that man had a temporary license plate from Arkansas. He said he put the orange face mask on as he was leaving because he would be working outside. The complaint turned out to be unfounded.
Following a traffic stop, a 25 year old was cited for operating after revocation and also issued a warning for operating with no insurance.
Police received a report that 2 people that were in an area business for an unusual length of time. Police spoke with the two women and learned the were waiting for a ride. While the officer was speaking to the women, a 34 year old Schofield man walked away from the building. The officer still had the man’s identification and learned that he had a warrant. Officer’s were unable to locate the man.
Officer’s also performed several medical assists and clearances and an increase in dog complaints.
