The Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce was part of a 5 county marketing cooperative that was recently honored for a campaign.
The Northwoods of Wisconsin was recognized by the American Advertising Federation for the “What is your Northwoods Personality?” campaign.
The campaign, which included mobile apps, as well as a sweepstakes and campaign-specific website and social media content, received a Silver ADDY Award in the Digital Marketing Campaign category.
The “What’s Your Northwoods Personality?” campaign ran from August 1, 2012, to October 31, 2012. Fans determined their Northwoods personality (Bum, Gearhead, Gumshoe, Highbrow, Trailblazer or Wannabe) by taking an online quiz that was available via the website and mobile apps.
Participants then used that personality to enter the sweepstakes, which attracted more than 2,500 entries. Six winners received Northwoods vacations tailored to match their personalities.
Tamra Anderson of the Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce said“We’re excited that so many people participated in the ‘What is Your Northwoods Personality?’ campaign. It shows us that the Northwoods is a brand people are looking for, and we want to give potential visitors all the information they need to plan a trip.”
The American Advertising Federation is the nation’s oldest national advertising trade association, with a network of 200 local federations that represent 40,000 advertising professionals.
