Deputies arrested a 41 year old Gleason man the day after investigating a disturbance. The initial incident occurred Friday morning on State Rd. 17 north of Merrill. The victim says she was driving when a passenger began fighting with her then left the vehicle. Deputies were unable to locate the man at the time, but Saturday evening he turned himself in to the jail, booked on battery and disorderly conduct charges.

A 25 year old Tomahawk man was taken into custody early Saturday morning after Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the Town of King. The crash was reported on County Rd A at Villa Rd at just after 4am. The driver admitted he had been drinking prior to the crash but refused to perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested on a second offense charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and later released to a responsible party.

A 23 year old Merrill man was arrested Saturday evening on a warrant charge. Deputies had been looking for the man after a warrant was issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections along with a Lincoln County warrant for disorderly conduct. Acting on a tip Deputies went to a home on County Rd E in the Town of Harding after 8:00 PM Saturday and found the man hiding in the basement. He was brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held.

A 37 year old Merrill man was arrested Sunday evening on a felony warrant. He was located at a residence on State Rd 107 in the Town of Rock Falls. The man was wanted on a warrant after he failed to appear at a hearing on a felony charge of Reckless driving – cause great bodily harm. The charges are the result of an incident from December in the Town of Rock Falls. He is being held in the jail pending a bond hearing today.

No one reported striking a deer last week in Lincoln County, just the third time this has happened since the weekly wrap up began in 2001. One person did report striking a bear. The vehicle suffered moderate damage but the bear was killed in the crash.
