The Tomahawk Public Library is joining libraries across the country in celebrating Children’s Book Week.
The event was established in 1919, and is the longest running national literacy campaign in the country.
As part of this week’s celebration, here in Tomahawk they will hold a special family story time at 4:00. They also encourage kids to come by and enter for a drawing.
Organizers of the National Children’s Book Week Campaign say the initial declaration made more than 90 years ago still holds true-“a great nation is a reading nation.”
