Inspired by the generosity of a fundraiser following the Merrill tornado two years ago, organizers will hold another event to support local causes.
That first fundraiser raised more than $10,000 for tornado victims, this time they have their sights set on the Humane Society and Haven. So coming up tomorrow will be the aptly named Humane Society and Haven Benefit Jamboree.
Tomorrow night’s event will feature five local bands performing for the cause, Rusty James and the Broken Arrow Band, Plan B, Sundog, America’s Party Band and Dave Fox and Foxfire who will perform throughout the evening.
In addition to the live music will be plenty of great raffle prizes ranging from cash to a flat screen tv , a recliner, chain saw, and auto detail.
Organizers say that every dollar collected for admission will go towards the two groups. Each person gets a raffle ticket and additional tickets will be available for purchase. The event runs from 5-11 Friday night at Les and Jim’s Lincoln Lanes in Merrill.
