Oneida County UW-Extension has introduced Lynn Feldman as their new Youth Development Agent.
Officials say her initial priority will be to identify the specific needs of Oneida County youth, to address gaps in service and work to provide positive youth development programs through the community.
This includes developing and expanding youth programs such as the teen court for first time youth offenders and Teens Active in Government.
Feldman said in a statement, “I feel as though I am working with youth and adults who have all the resources necessary to foster positive youth development in the county. I look forward to bringing those resources together to engage all youth as they become our future.”
Feldman, a long time Oneida County resident taught middle school science, spent time in the grocery business and recently earned her graduate degree in mental health counseling. She most recently was working as an advocate and licensed mental health and substance abuse therapist in Rhinelander.
