A Tomahawk mill celebrating an anniversary is seeing an increase in demand leading to early planning stages for an expansion.
Louisiana Pacific plant manager John Smith, along with Tim Weber, discussed the potential for expansion while talking about the mill’s 20 year anniversary.
They say that they are currently in the process of submitting permit applications with the DNR. Smith says that could lead to an expansion which would create around 16 new jobs over a 3 year period.
This comes as the company comes off of recent lean times in the cyclical industry. Increased demand has the plant running 24/7, with a 24% growth year to date.
Coming up on Friday Louisiana Pacific will have an open house from 10-2 with food, product displays, prizes and tours.
John and Tim, along with Steve Graeber joined Jeff on the Wednesday morning forum to discuss the anniversary and expansion plans. That podcast will be available on our website.
