Public Works Director Mike Tolvstad stopped by the studio this morning for his weekly road construction update.
He says the railroad track construction on South Tomahawk Avenue is still on hold. Having the various groups involved in the work coordinate their time has been a challenge, but Tolvstad hopes to get it done in the next couple of weeks.
On North 4th Street, they are making good progress. Crews are working in excess of 12 hours a day so they can re-open the road prior to the fall ride. They did run into some issues due to the high ground water level, but they are working around it.
Finally Tolvstad answered the question of the Powwow Days parade route with the construction. This year it will travel down Washington Avenue, turn south at 5th Street and then turn down Wisconsin Avenue (Main Street) to resume the normal conclusion of the parade.
