Federal charges have now been added to the case against a Rhinelander business owner accused of fraud.
Earlier this month the FBI in cooperation with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Dept. executed a search warrant at the two businesses operated by John Henricks III. The initial complaint accuses Henricks of filing false claims using another person’s identity, as well as making multiple claims with different insurance companies for the same incident.
The new federal charges include 3 counts of mail fraud and a count of identity theft. The charges he faces in Oneida County are similar, and he has a court appearance on those charges next week.
Henricks operates Custom Collision and Hodag Towing in the city of Rhinelander. He was initially arrested June 3.
