In June, the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation awarded three $1,000 health care scholarships. This year’s recipients include Stacey Nelson, Alicia Kaminski and Alexa Ernst.
Stacey Nelson attends University of North Dakota pursing a physician assistant degree. She continues working at Sacred Heart Hospital while participating in long distance learning.
Alicia Kaminski is working towards an Associate Degree in Nursing at Northcentral Technical College and also works as an Emergency Room Technician at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital.
Alexa Ernst is attending UW-LaCrosse where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Biomedical concentration. Her career choice is to become a pediatrician.
Foundation scholarships are awarded annually to students enrolled in a health care field to assist with their education. Since 1987, the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation has awarded $80,700 in scholarship funding.
