A Tripoli man remains jailed after allegedly fire shots into the air.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department says that deputies had been to a town of Wilson business several times last week to deal with civil property disputes between the owner and tenant.
On Saturday, a witness called 911 and report Berry Scheu was outside firing a pistol into the air. When speaking with deputies he admitted to firing the gun 10-15 times but said it was at a target. Witnesses stated he had fired the gun into the air and had reloaded it and fired again including when children were outside playing. The deputies were only able to find 2 bullet holes.
Scheu was taken into custody on a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and a felony charge of reckless endangering safety. Scheu was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he remains awaiting a bond hearing later today.
