Ministry Home Care will be offering a free volunteer training program for anyone interested in becoming a Hospice Volunteer.
Volunteers are currently needed throughout the Rhinelander, Tomahawk and Crandon Region. In addition to providing support to patients and their loved ones, there are also opportunities to get involved in outreach and fundraising or clerical duties.
Organizers say, “Hospice is about living each day to the fullest. It’s about helping individuals dying of terminal illness live each day in a pain-free
environment, with dignity and peace.”
Ministry Home Care – Hospice Services will provide their free 6-week
volunteer training on Wednesdays starting August 7 through September 11, 9:00am-Noon in the Spruce Room at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
There is no charge, but pre-registration is required by Friday, August 2nd. To register, please call Melissa Houg at 1-800-643-4663.
