We received a note passed along from our Post Master from the US Postal Inspector Service.
Some customers, including here in the area, are receiving bogus e-mails about a package delivery or online postage charges. Those e-mails also contain a link or attachment that when opened installs a virus than can steal personal information from your computer.
The e-mails claim to be from the Postal Service and contain fraudulent information about an attempted or intercepted package deliver or an online postage charge.
Postal Inspectors warn customers not to open those attachments. If you have questions about a deliver you can call 1-800-ask-usps.
