An organization of Wisconsin Counties has once again requested the state take federal money for Medicaid coverage, reaffirming action by several northwoods counties.
The Wisconsin Counties Association has passed a resolution over the weekend continuing its longstanding position that the state ought to accept the money which becomes available under the Affordable Care Act.
This resolution is similar to one passed in twenty Wisconsin counties including Marathon, Oneida and Lincoln. The Lincoln County Board of Supervisors passed the measure back in May.
Gov. Scott Walker’s budget passed earlier this year rejects a federally funded Medicaid expansion.
