Several Tomahawk Community members were recognized at last night’s Chamber of Commerce Annual meeting at Inshalla County Club.
Clarence Viegut was honored by the Chamber for a Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, he also received special recognition from the Governor’s Office.
Other award recipients include: Spirit Award winners, Rand and Diane Foss; Ambassador Award, Cerny’s Greenhouse; the Service Award, Paul Nelson; and a Special Recognition to the Tomahawk Ambassadors.
Following the awards, dinner attendees heard from guest speaker Sarah Klavas from the Department of Tourism.
The Chamber’s Annual Report touched on various activities in the community that help lead to a 3 year increase in visitor spending. The Chamber hosts 10 big events each year ranging from the upcoming Venison Feed to the Rockin’ 5k/half marathon. They also announced in their annual report that the Chamber has distributed more than $100,000 in Chamber Bucks.
