13th Never Forgotten Honor Flight Heads to Washington

21 Oct News

For the thirteenth time, a plane full of veterans from Central Wisconsin will head to Washington DC.

The Never Forgotten Honor Flight, scheduled to take off earlier this morning, includes two veterans from World War II, one from Vietnam, and 91 from the Korean War.

The Honor Flight network gives veterans the chance to go to our nation’s capital to observe the memorials and monuments built in their honor.

While the ending of the government shutdown should make the trip easier, they had intended on making this flight regardless.

The flight left from CWA at 7 and is expected back home at 9:30.
