Law Enforcement Urges Halloween Safety

31 Oct News

With today being Halloween, many area law enforcement agencies are reminding motorists to be aware for children in roadways.

While here in Tomahawk, the community held its city-wide trick or treating last weekend; many communities in our listening area will be hosting trick or treating this evening.

This means that there will be an increase in pedestrian traffic in those areas. Both trick-or-treaters and drivers should remain alert to avoid any accidents.

One community with trick or treating tonight is Merrill. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office noted, they will be offering a treat bag. Fran the Sheriff’s Secretary will have them available to costumed kids up until 6 using the new south entrance.

Other communities having their traditional trick or treating include Rhinelander, Minocqua, Medford and Eagle River.
