A medical issue resulted in an Eagle River Police vehicle being struck over the weekend.
At just before 6:30 Saturday, dispatch received a report of a vehicle all over the roadway traveling toward the city of Eagle River.
An officer from the Eagle River Police Department located the vehicle in question and observed it traveling in the wrong lane of traffic, forcing other vehicles off the road way.
After several failed attempts to stop the vehicle, the officer pulled in front and attempted to slow it. This resulted in the vehicle rear-ending the squad car.
No one was injured in the accident. The cause of the erratic driving was said to be medical related according to the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department.
No names have been released and deputies continue to investigate.
