The dogs recovered by the Lincoln County Humane Society likely won’t have difficulty in finding homes once they are ready to leave.
Since the animals were taken in over the weekend, the Lincoln County Humane has received hundreds of applications to foster or adopt the animals. At last update, the numbers totaled more than 300.
They will be taking adoption applications for these dogs through 5:00pm today (Thursday). Those mailing in applications, they must be postmarked by today.
An outpouring of support from the community has made the process of taking in such a large amount of dogs at once a bit easier.
The humane society still does not have a set day for releasing the animals for adoption. Many of the puppies are still nursing and staying with foster families at this time; others are still having check ups with veteranarians.
