Ministry Medical Group has announced the retirement of a long time doctor, along with the hiring of a new one.
After practicing medicine in the Rhinelander for more than 40 years Dr. Leo Norden will be retiring as of the first of the year.
Ministry Regional VP Robert Sookochoff thanked Dr. Norden for his service and dedication saying he was a valuable asset to the community.
Moving to the Northwoods from Iowa, Norden realized Northern Wisconsin would be a great place to work and raise his family. He said, “I’m very appreciative I was able to practice medicine in Rhinelander, and I will always remember the relationships I built with my patients and co-workers.”
In retirement he plans to stay in the community and spend additional time with he children and grand children while catching up on some reading.
Meanwhile, Ministry will also welcome a new doctor (Pragya) Dhaubhadel, who specializes in infectious diseases.
She’ll work as part of a team with other physicians including family medicine and emergency care. The infectious disease specialty helps with illnesses such as tick-borne disease, STD’s or fungal infections.
She finished her education with a residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Hospital in New York.
