Members of the Lincoln County Humane Society will now begin the process of sifting through hundreds of dog adoption applications.
Overall the humane society received more than 500 applications to adopt the fifty seven dogs and puppies recovered last weekend from a home in the Town of Russell. They set a deadline of yesterday to receive applications for the animals.
They say on their Facebook page, “We hope to have decisions made and begin placing most dogs by New Year’s Eve. It will be another couple of weeks before we process the applications on the nursing pups and their moms, as well as any dogs that are pregnant.”
