A man was hospitalized after a snowmobile accident this weekend near Tomahawk.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department says two men were traveling on Lake Nokomis Saturday evening. A 46 year old male fell off of his sled, and was struck by a companion, a 56 years old male.
The two men were able to ride to a nearby tavern to call EMS. The victim was airlifted to Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. As of last night he was listed in serious but stable condition.
According to deputies, both drivers showed signs of impairment, but refused chemical testing. Each will be cited for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated and refusing a chemical test.
The uninjured man was brought to the jail on a probation violation, as he had a no drink order with his probation.
