Tomahawk residents will once again have a chance to weigh in on rezoning a piece of land to allow the construction of a gas station and potential truck stop.
The City of Tomahawk Planning and Zoning Committee will have a public hearing this morning on the rezoning request from Raj Bhandari. The location is at Cash Road and County Road A near Highway 51. His request is to change an agriculture/rural estate district to a planned development district.
The proposed site layout includes an initial gas station on the lot. Eventually that layout could include an upgrade to a truck stop, a restaurant, commercial buildings and residential development.
The city packet includes letters from Tomahawk citizens both supporting and opposing changing the zoning.
That meeting is at 8 at city hall.
