An Oneida County woman found guilty of supplying heroin that lead to an overdose death has now been sentenced.
Twenty seven year old Jennifer Heiting of St. Germain was previously found guilty after pleading no contest to 1st degree reckless homicide by delivery of drugs and possession of narcotics.
At her hearing yesterday, Heiting was sentenced to 4 years of prison and 6 years of extended supervision. According to court records she will be credited with more than a year served. She has been jailed 415 days since her arrest.
The criminal complaint says that Heiting provided David Stahl with heroin in December of 2012. Several days later, Stahl died of heroin toxicity.
Another man, 27 year old Richard Lewis of St. Germain is also being charged in the case. Last month he pleaded no contest and was found guilty of similar charges. He’ll be sentenced February 27.
