One person may have died in a fire early yesterday morning in Oneida County.
At just before 1am, The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a structure fire on Woodland Trail in the town of Cassian.
Sheriff’s officials say that 4 people were believed to be in the residence, three made it out of home, 1 is unaccounted for. One subject was treated locally and released, a second was airlifted to a Madison Burn Center.
The first responders to the scene reported the home was fully engulfed when they arrived. Multiple agencies responded to the fire, which remains under investigation. The sheriff’s office did not immediately indicate a cause of fire.
