Other items from last night’s county board meeting. Jan Lemmer was recognized for 25 years in the Treasurer department. The board approved the fire wardens for 2014 and Paul Kienitz for the civil service grievance committee.
In addition to the presentation on the fairgrounds, the board heard from Mike Nelson regarding a human services feasibility study. They are study a multi-county task force involving Lincoln, Marathon and Langlade Counties. The study was part of a multi year process and the next step is to pursue a business plan which would attach financials to the plan.
The board discussed potentially restructuring the committees, no action was taken.
In a pair of bookkeeping resolutions the board approved cancellation of county checks and a budget modification to cover an increase caused by an un-budgeted retirement.
The board approved the contract with the UW-System for the Extension Instructors, along with approval to fill a corrections officer and a forestry position.
Finally two ordinances were passed approving re-zoning requests one in the town of Bradley, the second for the Town of Corning.
