Fishing Tournament Benefits Organization Providing Outdoor Activities for Terminal Children

A fishing tournament based in Tomahawk this weekend will benefit terminal kids.

Tomorrow is the 12th annual Team Slayer Ice Tournament. The event offers a way to raise money for the Kippenberg Creek Kids. Kippenberg Creek Kids is a non-profit organization that provides hunting trips, fishing trips, snowmobile outings, and other outdoor activities for children with life threatening illnesses.

The Foundation was established in memory of Lucus Boquist who died at the age of 15 from complications of leukemia. His parents had hoped to take Lucas out hunting prior to his passing.

Tomorrow’s registered participants can fish any water in Wisconsin. Fish are to be registered at the Pine Tree. Its a five fish category format. To register for the Tournament go to the supper club or contact Dennis Barlog at 715-771-9189. Must register by today.
