Thanks to generous donations and a grant, a Northwoods homeless shelter can now better serve those with disabilities.
Over the spring, Frederick Place in Rhinelander underwent some construction. On the east side of the facility they have installed a lift to the entry way. The facility is now accessible for those with mobility disabilities.
Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing received a $25,000 grant from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority. They used that money along with donations of work and supplies from area businesses and contractors to complete the project.
Frederick Place offers emergency shelter for families and individuals from Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas Counties.
