Tomahawk Police Report-August 8

A Tomahawk man contacted police regarding a private vehicle sale, which was not paid for in full. Prior to the officers arrival the purchaser returned the car, however officers learned the 26 year old had an outstanding warrant through Oneida County. The man was taken into custody.

Officers are investigating after a man on East Kings Road reported his home broken into.

A business owner contacted police regarding two teens causing a disturbance outside of the location. The teens were located a short time later, warned of their activities and advised they are no longer welcome at the business.

A Tomahawk woman wanted the information of a possible fraud on file. She recently received two credit card application rejections in her name. The woman say she did not apply for the cards.

A 34 year old Tomahawk woman posted bond after being taken into custody for shoplifting from an area business.

A Tomahawk woman reported an attempt at a common online scam, after she attempted to sell items on Ebay. The buyer sent a check over the purchase price and asked the woman to cash it and send the extra money. The woman was advised of the proper channels for handling this type of case.
