Price County Man Submits Plea in Murder Trial
A plea deal is in the works for a Price County man accused of killing his wife.
Forty seven year old William Rambo is facing a single county of first degree intentional homicide. At a hearing yesterday Rambo, through his attorney, asked to enter an Alford plea, according to court records.
This is a type of plea in which the defendant maintains innocence, but admits that the evidence is likely to convict.
Last August, Dawn Rambo died as a result of multiple stab wounds at her home in Park Falls. William Rambo was arrested a short time later in connection.
The potential deal comes a week before the case was to be heard in court. A jury trial was scheduled to begin next Wednesday.
