The Kronenwetter Fire Department 5k, 10k and one mile firefighter challenge is on Saturday, September 10.  Registration is underway, to to kronenwetterfallfest.org to register or for more information.

The City of Tomahawk is chip sealing Theiler Drive.  The road will be closed from 6:00 to 9:00 AM, and motorists are reminded that following chip sealing there will loose stone chips on the roadway.

The Fall Rummage and Bake Sale is from 9:00 to Noon at Holy Family Catholic Church in in Woodruff.  It’s $3.00 bag day.

Prentice Progress Days gets underway with the 5k run/walk, with registration at 7:00 AM.  The softball tourney begins at 9:00 AM, craft vendors from 10:00 to 3:00 PM in the school east gym, the annual parade along Railroad Road at 10:30 AM, rides, food and refreshments at Lions Park.  The annual dance is at 8:00 PM at the fire hall.

Muddin for Mites ATV Poker Run (ATV, Motorcycle or Car) will be held with registration from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Wild North Saloon.  The cost is $10.00 per person and there will be raffles and prizes at 7:00 PM at Wild North Saloon.  All are welcome and this will benefit Tomahawk Youth Hockey.

The Minocqua/Kawaga Lakes Protection Association will host its annual pig roast and silent auction from 11:00 to 2:00 PM at Torpy Park in Minocqua.

Final Kwahamot Water Ski show of the season starts at 7:30 PM along Kwahamot Bay next to the North Fourth Street Bridge.

A all you can eat pancake breakfast will be held from 8:00 to 11:30 AM at St. Therese Church Hall in Phillips.  Proceeds will benefit Price County Respect Life.

The Tomahawk Make a Difference Group will be hosting their annual ‘Dumpster Day’; Electronic Recycling; and Sensitive Materials Shred Day.  The Dumpster Day portion is open to city residents while the other two events are open to surrounding areas as well. Drop off is at the Tomahawk City Garage from 8:30-11:30 AM.(Tomahawk Community Bank for Shredding) The Boy Scouts will be offering curbside pickup for household items. The Knox Creek Heritage Center in Brantwood will host A Country Afternoon, beginning at 11:00 AM.  There will be tours, and a social gathering with food and refreshments.

The Citizens for the Tomahawk Police Department are hosting a fundraiser from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Rodeo Saloon Bar and Grill in downtown Tomahawk.  The event will feature raffles and door prizes and help the Tomahawk PD purchase 10 defibrillators and train staff on use of those defibrillators.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism.  The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking.  There are no dues for AA membership.
