The Kwahamot Water
Ski Shows are held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8:00 PM at Kwahamot
Bay, along the North Fourth Street Bridge. The Kwahamot Water Ski Club is sponsoring the Kwahamot
Pyramid Payout again this year.
Only 500 tickets will be sold, each ticket is $20.00 and drawings will
be held at the ski shows, need not be present to win. Tickets are available from Tomahawk Sports Center, Kwahamot
members and at WJJQ Radio.
The Tomahawk Lions
Club Merchandise Raffle has over $3,000.00 in prizes this year. It is your chance to win everything
from gift certificates at area businesses to an AJ Hawk autographed football or
four Badger football tickets. Stop
by the Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce to purchase your tickets, just $2.00 each

The annual North for
the 4th T-shirts are now on sale as a fundraiser for Tomahawk Main
Street. The shirts are a limited
edition each year and can be purchased at Tomahawk Ben Franklin, Tomahawk
Surplus Store, Cover-to-Cover Books and Gifts, and at Tomahawk Main Street
office.
Ministry Medical
Group-Tomahawk and Ministry Rehab Services are offering free, pre-participation
sports physicals for any athlete who will be entering grades six through eleven
on Thursday, July 23 between 1:00 and 6:00 PM at Sacred Heart Hospital/Ministry
Medical Group Clinic on West Mohawk Drive. Registration is required and a partent/guardian will need to
accompany their child in order to complete the paperwork. Call 453-7740 to register, physicals
are offered free of charge, but a $20.00 contribution for the general
scholarship fund at Tomahawk High School is appreciated.
The new American
Legion Baseball drawing calendars are now available, with the first drawing on
September 1, 2009. Calendars are
$20.00 and are available from Legion members, at the Legion Club House, many
area businesses and here at WJJQ.
Proceeds from the calendar sales will benefit the American Legion
Baseball Team.
The Nurses Closet at
St. Paul Lutheran Church loans medical equipment to those in need at no
charge. Equipment provided includes: wheel chairs, walkers, canes,
commodes, shower benches and chairs, raised toilet seats, and hospital
