Girls & Boys Track & Field
The Tomahawk Hatchet Boys
Track and Field Team has a state champion as Joe Lilek wins the Division 2 shot
put title on Saturday at UW-LaCrosse.
Lilek had a new school record throw of 55 4 ½ in his state championship
throw.
Also
competing at state was the Hatchet 3200 meter relay team of Tyler Bostwick,
Jordan Leggett, Nick Hagar and Nick Glaeser. They finished fourteenth. Cody Lemke and Nick VanStrydonk finished fourteenth and
fifteenth in the 3200 meter run and freshman Matt Gerber was twelfth in the
prelims in the 100-meter dash.
Baseball
The
Tomahawk Hatchet Baseball Team lost to Clintonville on Tuesday in WIAA Regional
Semi Final action 9-1.
Tomahawk
had a hit each from Cody Brietzke, Nate Schoone and Mike LaFevre.
Softball
The
Tomahawk Hatchet Softball Team’s 2008 season came to an end on Thursday when
they lost 12-2 to the Medford Raiders in WIAA Regional Quarter Final action.
Tomahawk’s
Hailey Graeber had the lone hit in her 1-3 performance.
Tomahawk
committed 10 errors in the field, which led to several unearned runs for the
Raiders.
Golf
The
Tomahawk Hatchet Golf Team was represented by Alex Cummings at the WIAA
Sectional Meet at Valders on Tuesday, with Cummings shooting a 90.
