Missing hunter rescued

Area law enforcement found a lost hunter last night deep in the woods, miles from his original location.

Police and fire departments from Lincoln County, Tomahawk, Phillips, Nokomis and the DNR joined Price County Sheriff department to search the woods near Highway 86 and Pike's Peak Road at around 5:00 last night.

The search party also called in a Spirit Air helicopter to help as darkness set in.

Crews found the man near a self-made fire at 7:00 p.m. nearly 3 miles from where they thought he'd be.

The hunter's name is not yet being released, but he is described as approximately 60 years old and from Tomahawk.
