Wausau man chases children at recess

A man is under arrest for going onto a Wausau elementary school playground and chasing after children.

43-year-old David Oldenberg was drunk and showed up at the G.D. Jones Elementary School. He disrupted recess and chased a group of kids, growling and roaring at them. Teachers brought the students inside and called police.

The school principal went outside to confront the man, and was pushed and shoved.

When police arrived, Oldenberg was taken to the Marathon County Jail, where he's been charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
