Missing body found in Langlade County lake

Langlade County officials recovered the body of a missing kayaker over the weekend.

Thirty one year old Travis Groenewold of Green Lake went missing a week ago. His body was pulled from Post Lake yesterday afternoon at about 4:30 pm. Groenewold had last been seen in a bar at Twin Oaks Resort.

Groenewold and his wife were at their seasonal home near Elcho when the he decided to go to the bar. Rather than driving around the lake, he used his kayak to reach the resort by water. He left the bar at about midnight and was never seen again. His kayak was found overturned the following morning, with the paddle floating in the lake.
