Authorities search Wausau home
Thursday, March 27, 2008
No information is being released by Tomahawk Police
or assisting authorities after evidence was gathered from a Wausau home
Wednesday, apparently associated with the investigation into the murder of
25-year-old Rochelle Anderson.
On the same day as her funeral, authorities from
Tomahawk, Wausau and the State Crime Lab spent considerable time Wednesday at a
home at 220 North First Avenue in Wausau.
An eyewitness told a Wausau TV Station that two
persons were taken into custody.
However, Tomahawk Police Chief Don Johnson and a Wausau Police lieutenant
stated Thursday morning that no one has been taken into custody in connection
with Saturday’s slaying.
A gold colored car, similar to the color of a
suspicious vehicle seen near the scene of the murder on North Fourth Street in
Tomahawk was removed from the garage of the Wausau home.
Rochelle Anderson was brutally beaten and stabbed
seven times Saturday night at Zephyr Fuel where she worked as a clerk.
