Authorities across the state of Wisconsin are seeking the whereabouts of a person of interest in the murder of 25-year-old Rochelle Anderson last Saturday night in Tomahawk.

Nathan Ives, 21, is being sought by law enforcement.  He’s described as being six feet tall, 160 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.  Nathan Ives was last seen wearing a green jacket with a black fur trim on the hood and dark pants.  Ives lives at the residence at 220 North First Avenue in Wausau that was searched Wednesday for possible clues and connections to the brutal murder of Rochelle Anderson at Zephyr Fuel.

Tomahawk Police of Chief Don Johnson emphasized that Nathan Ives was not a suspect, but a person that may have important information related to the murder case.  He currently has numerous warrants out for his arrest on other unrelated cases, including charges of resisting arrest, battery, disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim and criminal damage to property.  Nathan Ives has previous convictions for resisting arrest, theft and disorderly conduct.

Meanwhile, a second person living at the 220 North First Avenue Wausau residence was taken into custody.  Former Tomahawk resident, 23 year old Lydia Jensen was arrested on an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct in Lincoln County.  In her court appearance in Merrill Thursday, Lincoln County District Attorney Don Dunphy expressed concern that she might be a flight risk because she was picked up at the house searched for murder clues.

In a shocking response, she told the court that she had nothing to do with the murder, but then stated, “The father of my son may have had something to do with it, but I didn’t.”  Lincoln County Judge Glen Hartley reminded Lydia Jensen that her court appearance had nothing to do with the murder in Tomahawk.  Lydia Jensen remains in the Lincoln County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bond.

A gold color Toyota, similar in color to a description of a car an eyewitness reported as being seen near the scene of the murder, was removed from the Wausau residence that she and Nathan Ives share.  Tomahawk Chief of Police Don Johnson is quoted as telling reporters that the car is now at the State Crime Lab in Wausau being processed.  Results of the car search should be completed by early next week.

A memorial fund has been setup for the daughter of Rochelle Anderson at River Valley Bank in Tomahawk.
