Snowmobile safety courses

The Oneida County Sheriff's office is
sponsoring three DNR certified snowmobile safety courses in the next few weeks
with the first beginning tomorrow.
The first course, with the Hodag Sno Trails, will be held tomorrow and Sunday from 9 until
1:30 both days. It will be at the Oneida County Law Enforcement Center in
Rhinelander.
The second course, in conjunction with the Northern Lights
Snowmobile club will be next Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 7 at the
Three Lakes High School.
Lake Tomahawk will hold a third course on Saturday 17th and
Sunday the 18th. The course with the New-Tom Snow Fleas is 9 to 1:30 at the
Sloan Community Center.
Anyone born after January 1, 1985 must have a snowmobile
safety certification to operate on public areas. Students are required to
obtain a DNR customer ID to register. Advanced registration is required, by
calling Deputy Brad Fogerty at the Oneida County Sheriff's Office 715-361-5132.
