Details in Minocqua cocaine bust
Tuesday, December 6, 2011
On
Friday morning at around 3, a 28 year old Tripoli man called the Lincoln County
Dispatch seeking a non-emergency number. When asked his address, the man hung
up. He then called back a short time later saying that someone took his truck
and it was now at an area business. An officer made contact with the man who
appeared intoxicated. The officer advised the man that he should not drive, and
he left on foot.
Over the weekend, a woman
reported that she was in the process of moving. She said she arrived at the
residence with items as part of the moving process. She found foot steps
leading up to a window outside. It appeared as though someone had entered the
previous night. The woman said there was nothing in the home to take at the
time. She said the heat was turned up as though someone had spent the night.
She requested extra patrol as she would be staying there.
There were few reportable
accidents in the city limits despite the heavy snowfall. An officer did
report lines sagging due to the snow. Also a woman reported that a county plow
went past her residence on Southgate Drive at a high speed while she was
outside. She said she was soaked with slush and snow and the force knocked her
down and her glasses off. She wanted the driver talked to. The police
department notified someone at the county garage to speak to the driver.
