A 17 year old Tomahawk man was arrested Wednesday after deputies responded to a disturbance in the Town of Bradley. A judge had released that same male from Lincoln County Jail on a signature bond, after he had been arrested the previous Sunday on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, and strangulation. He was told he could return to a residence to collect his personal effects. He went after 10pm Wednesday and caused another disturbance which resulted in a second arrest for disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping. He returned to the Lincoln County jail where he was held until a bond hearing on Thursday, He was released on a signature bond.

An 18 year old Tomahawk woman was arrested Saturday on a warrant charge. A deputy took the woman into custody after stopping her vehicle on Highway 8 at County Rd. A at just after 2am. After checking her registration and seeing she was was wanted by the Oneida County sheriff for contempt of Court, she was brought to the Lincoln County jail where she was released Saturday after posting bond.

A 24 year old Merrill woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after Deputies, along with the Merrill PD investigated 3 crashes on the city County border on Taylor St. According to the Merrill Police the woman struck a vehicle on Taylor Street and then fled the scene. She then struck a mail box and traveled down a private driveway where she struck two cars. An off-duty deputy found her at the scene. She was transported to Ministry Good Samaritan where she was treated, then brought to the Lincoln County jail. She was cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated first offense, but those charges may be upgraded as she has been arrested two other times in the last month by Merrill Police for OWI.

A 24 year old Marathon woman was cited Saturday after deputies investigated a crash in the town of Tomahawk. Deputies responded to State Rd. 86 at Max Tilley Rd. just after 5. The woman told the deputy she was texting while driving causing her to crash into the power pole and break it off. The deputy noticed the odor of intoxicants and asked her to perform field sobriety tests. As a result she was taken into custody on a first offense of operating while intoxicated and also cited for texting while driving.

A 36 year old Merrill man was arrested last night on a felony and a misdemeanor charge after a deputy investigated a harassment case in the Town of Merrill. The reporting party said the man had been following the victim, driving past the victim's house and following the victim on the highway, once as far as southern Wisconsin. The man was taken into custody on a charge of stalking and unauthorized use of a computerized messaging device. He was brought to Lincoln County jail where he is being held for a bond hearing today.

Seven people reported striking deer this past week on Lincoln County road ways. Another bear was struck, this time on 51 just south of Highway 8, Friday evening.
