A 20 year old male was apprehended
for an outstanding warrant through Lincoln County Probation and parole. Police
located the male at a South 2nd street residence and transported him to
corrections.
A woman reported that at approximately 3:45 in the morning a
dark truck with 2 males and a female dumped vacuum cleaners into a dumpster in
the alleyway near W. Wisconsin Ave. The owner was notified and was told that
this recurring problem can be solved by placing a lock on the garbage
container.
A man reported that there were hunters shooting in the
vicinity of the old tissue mill. He said there were vehicles in the area, and
did not feel safe going in there. An officer found 2 men, who were duck
hunting. He advised the men that they were in the city limits and they were
told to move. The men did so cooperatively.
A 59 year old man reported being assaulted and wanted to see
an officer on West Leather Ave. The victim said that a 60 year old man took him
to the ground and grabbed his throat. The victim wanted the suspect talked to
and to be left alone. Officers spoke with the suspect who said he did take the
man down. He said the men are good friends and were drinking; he would say he
was sorry. The suspect stayed in his vehicle until he was sober enough to
drive, while the victim remained in the residence.
