Minocqua Board revokes Black Bear Bar license
Friday, December 23, 2011
The Minocqua Board of Supervisors has
decided to revoke the Black Bear Bar's liquor license.
The decision came yesterday after nearly 4 hours in closed
session. On Tuesday night they heard arguments from attorneys and Oneida County
deputy testimony.
The decision to strip Dane Wisnosky
of his liquor license was unanimous.
Wisnosky and his girlfriend Carol Schultz are
both charged with delivering cocaine. Neither case has gone to trial yet.
According to the criminal complaint, Wisnosky and
Schultz were arrested after an informant with the Oneida County Sheriff's
Department made two controlled cocaine buys back in August and September.
Wisnosky's attorney says the community will
suffer as a result of the decision to remove the license. She pointed out that
her client donated over $35,000 to charities last year.
The attorney is leaning toward an appeal of the board's
decision.
