Tomahawk man injured in motorcycle crash

Monday, August 24, 2009

A 41-year-old Tomahawk man was injured in a motorcycle crash on Sunday night in the Town of Bradley.  Deputies along with Tomahawk EMS and Tomahawk Fire Department responded to County Road E at Thomas Road after a cell 911 caller reported finding a crashed motorcycle at 8:29 pm.  The lone occupant of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet when he crashed.

Deputies found evidence at the scene that the motorcycle most likely struck a deer.  He was taken from the scene by Tomahawk EMS to a landing zone, which was established by the Tomahawk Fire Department and the PCA Tomahawk Mill on County Road E.

From there the MedEvac Helicopter flew him to the trauma center at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Center.  As of Sunday night, the man’s injuries were considered very critical.
