A traffic stop at around 2:00 Friday
morning led to the arrest of two Tomahawk men. A deputy stopped a vehicle on
County Rd A east of Spring Creek Drive. All three
occupants of the vehicle has been drinking. A 21 year
old male was violating terms of his probation and was taken on a probation
hold. The 19 year old driver admitted a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana
was his, and was arrested on possession of drug paraphernalia. He may face
additional citations. The third occupant, a 17 year old female was cited for
underage drinking at the scene. Tomahawk Police assisted the Deputy.
A vehicle in the ditch north of
Tomahawk led to the arrest of a Tomahawk man. The man was traveling on County
Rd. A near U at around 7:00pm on Friday. Wisconsin
State Troopers discovered the vehicle in the ditch and placed the driver
through field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody for a third offense of
operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and also cited for driving while
revoked. He was brought to the Lincoln County Jail until the following morning
when he was sober.
Deputies responded to over a dozen crashes or
slide-offs Friday afternoon from the snow. The first was at just before 3:00,
most occurred on highway 51. Eleven people also reported striking deer this
past week.
