Man found sleeping in woods

On the morning of Friday August 28^th, 2009 Deputies took Chad R. Kort into custody after a neighbors tip led them to him hiding under a tarp.

Deputies were called to the area of South Pine Rd and County Rd A just before 7:00 AM today after a neighbor reported someone was snoring under his log pile. Deputies went there and removed a tarp and found Kort sleeping. He was arrested without incident.

Kort was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he is being held. He will face criminal charges related to Thursday incident at his cabin including obstructing / resisting an officer and criminal trespass to a dwelling after it was learned he entered another cabin in the area to hide.

At a bond hearing on Friday his girlfriend Michelle R. Ruether was released on a signature bond.
