Adams County stabbing suspect appears

The Adams County man accused of a Christmas Day stabbing appeared in court.

Prosecutors say police were called to a home in Belle Prairie where they found a 51 year old victim injured. He was taken to a hospital in Baraboo and then airlifted to UW hospital in Madison. Adams County deputies arrested 24 year old Zachery Beers, who is now being charged with first degree reckless injury, domestic-abuse battery and disorderly conduct.

Bond was set at $10,000 for Beers, and his preliminary hearing was set for January 23.Prosecutors say they’re still investigating the events leading up to the stabbing.
