Oneida County trails to open

Oneida County snowmobilers are getting good news for the new year.

The Oneida County Funded Snowmobile Trail system will officially open for the winter season as of noon tomorrow.

A 3.5 mile segment of the Northwoods Passage Trail 8 from the intersection of Trails 8& 8B near Oak Drive to North Rifle Road will remain closed until further notice.

The Oneida County Forestry, Land and Outdoor Recreation Department recommends staying on clearly marked trails and to exercise caution, especially because trails can be in rough, early season Conditions.
