Tomahawk Police Department reports
Friday, December 30, 2011
Earlier this month an officer
discovered that a squad car was vandalized while in the department parking lot.
The rear driver side triangle window was broken in. The officer reported that
the incident had happened at some point between 7:00pm and 11:00p on December
16th.
A man reported that his vehicle was
broken into while parked on Southgate Drive. He reported that sunglasses, a
flash light, and a prescription medication were stolen from the car while
parked over the night on Monday. The vehicle was unsecured at the time, and an
officer is investigating.
On Tuesday someone called reporting a
beeping sound coming from a Tomahawk residence throughout the morning hours.
The caller was concerned that the smoke alarm was going off in the home.
Contact could not be made at the residence, so the landlord called the renter.
The tenant was out of town at the time, but had a friend enter the home. The
friend discovered that the beeping heard was actually a low battery alarm on a
children's toy and the situation was cleared.
On Wednesday afternoon the department
was contacted regarding a 23 year old female who went to the hospital with
severe burns. She said they occurred at her apartment when she attempted to put
a fire out. They requested that someone contact the fire department or check to
make sure the fire was extinguished, which it was. The landlord was
contacted regarding the incident.
